1941 International T6 - Perkins L4
Recently unearthed from a farm in the midlands, this little T6 was converted in it's early working life to a Perkins L4 diesel, this was an official conversion to replace the petrol paraffin engine, there are brochures showing this
The crawler in the recent couple of years has had the back end out and rebuilt, steering clutches and brakes etc all done
The tractor starts well with some heat with healthy oil pressure, it runs well and like all L4 is a little smokey
The oil and water are all in the correct places with no mixing or cracks.
The crawler selects all gears well and drives exceptionally well, the slewing clutches and brakes as well as the main clutch all work very well and it is light to drive
The cab is lovely and really sets it off, the side sliding window is missing but this stops the drumming often associated with early cabs!
The undercarriage is good, the pins do have some wear as to be expected but the rest is in good order
The crawler has a lovely patina to it which is now ready to be enjoyed
