1944 Case DEX
Just arrived is this charming Case DEX
This being a lend lease tractor it spent it's life in Hereford, supplied by Wargent & Sons the tractor didn't go far in it's life
The tractor starts up within a couple of pulls of the handle and runs very well, the oil pressure sits at just over 20psi with no knocks or rattles
The engine is frost damage free, full of coolant with no mixing
The manifold is very good indeed
I have just fitted a very good pair of front tyres which set it off nicely, the rears are the originals, they are cracked but stay up and I would not change them as they set the tractor off beautifully
I have the v5 for the tractor only showing 2 owners from new, the suppliers decals are still on the tank
The tinwork is stunning, it has a real look
The clutch over centres as it should, the brake on the pulley works and it selects all gears well, the brakes pedals are a little stiff but are getting better the more they are used
A lovely original DEX ready to be enjoyed
