1949 Fordson E27N

1949 Fordson E27N Major
This E27N was a regular to the Great Dorset Steam fair before being retired and stored in a barn
The tractor has the later single lever hydraulics that work as they should, it has the low top gear and standard ratio box
The engine is the original, frost damage free and the number matches the serial tag on the dash
The tractor has just had a reconditioned magneto fitted and starts and runs superbly hot and cold, the radiator is full of coolant with no mixing of fluids and no knocks or bangs
The clutch and brakes are all really good including the handbrake
The steering is surprisingly light for an E27N and is a pleasure to drive
The tyres are old, the rears being a lovely old pair of Firestones, and although have some age related cracks are full of air and fine for some years
The tinwork is very good, a nice older restoration that has now mellowed in nicely
There is no V5 for the tractor
The manifold is a lovely RKL of Yorkshire manifold with the brass tag still on, this runs lovely
A really nice E27N looking to be enjoyed
