1952 Ferguson TEF20

1952 Ferguson TEF20 Diesel Tractor
 
This little tractor has come from the west country having resided in a barn for some years
 
The tractor has just been fitted with a new battery
 
The tractor starts up with 20 seconds of heat and runs exceptionally well, the oil pressure sits at 80psi with no breathing or smoke
 
There is no frost damage or mixing of fluids, the radiator is full of antifreeze
 
The clutch is smooth, the brakes work but are a bit sticky on the pedal, this is getting better the more I use it, the hydraulics and PTO work as they should
 
The tractor looks to have had a light coat of paint a long long time ago, this has now mellowed in nicely
 
The serial plate is on the dash and legible, there is an old number painted on the back but I cannot work out what it is, I have no paperwork so this would need applying for
 
The tractor drives well on the road and sounds lovely, the engine is very strong
 
The only issue I can find is that the tractor jumps out of first gear, if you hold the lever it will drive in it so suggest the detent is worn, the rest of the gearbox is fine, you even still have to lift it to go into reverse
