1952 Nuffield DM4 Perkins P4
 
This tractor was supplied new to FW Stephens & Son of Kinglsley Hampshire, it stayed with them for 4 years before going to E Vigar of Petersfield.  It has been with the previous custodian for 12 years where it has been very well looked after and has travelled many miles around Hampshire driving a rack saw bench 
 
The tractor itself is a genuine DM4, a genuine Perkins built Nuffield not a later conversion, the serial plate is stamped DM4 and the engine has the brass plate stating it is a TA (Tractor application engine)
 
The engine starts up with a little heat and runs incredibly well, it has 60lb of oil pressure even on tick over, the KiGas system is fitted but not needed
 
The engine has all the fluids in the correct places with no mixing and no frost damage
 
The tractor charges its new 12v battery as it should, all the lights work exactly a they should
 
Down the road it drives well with a good turn of speed, the steering has a little play but is a pleasure on the road with the lovely P4 engine noise
 
The tractor drives well in all gears, the clutch and brakes are very good, the tractor also has the 3 point linkage and belt pulley (which was often used to drive the rack bench)
 
I have all the history with the tractor, manuals, buff logbook, blue v5 and current v5
 
The tractor has rear wheel weights, front weight and full lighting kit
 
The tyres have excellent tread all round but some minor age related cracking
 
This is a very well looked after Nuffield, all the wiring is still inside the copper tubing and P clipped up the wings as they were, it even has the fully functioning radiator shutter
