1959 Ferguson 35 - TVO

Just arrived is this charming little 35

I've always had a soft spot for these TVO 35s as they are so quiet and smooth compared to the diesel!

This one starts up well, it is a basic model, standard width, single clutch, no tachometer etc

The tractor starts and runs well, it drives well on the road with good steering, smooth clutch and good brakes

The tinwork is a very early restoration that has mellowed in nicely

The PTO engages as it should and the arms go up and down

The engine is frost damage free with no mixing of fluids

The oil pressure is standard for one of these, goes to the top of the red when hot on tick-over

I have the V5 in hand ready to go

Judging by the pedal wear (there is none) I think this has had a very easy life

The tyres are good all round, some aged related cracking but plenty of tread and nothing requiring attention here

A nice little 35, the only fault I can pick is the dynamo doesn't seem to be charging currently (although these often "wake up" with use I have found!)

The previous owner has chosen to run this on straight petrol hence the heat shield is removed
