1959 Fordson Dexta "Live Drive"

This little Dexta has been with the previous custodian for 13 years and used occasionally for the odd little job and ploughing match

Back in 2016 the engine was fully rebuilt, this involved a crank grind, cylinder head overhaul, reconditioned injectors, new oil pump, new pistons, liners rings etc and has done under 10 hours since with all receipts totalling in excess of £1300

The result is a Dexta that starts up with no heat and no excess fuel in under 5 revolutions and runs superbly

The engine is frost damage free with no mixing of fluids, the tractor charges the 12v battery as it should and the tachometer is working and showing 6k hours

This is a Live Drive model with both stages of the clutch working as they should, PTO working correctly and the hydraulics working as they should

The tyres have good tread with a few minor age related cracks but not warranting any attention

The tractor has an unusual handbrake mechanism fitted

The steering is good and precise and trundles down the road well, being an early Dexta it sits at approximately 18mph

I have the V5 here so the tractor is ready to go

The only fault I can find is the brakes will want bedding in and adjusting up, an easy job (no half shaft seal leaks)

A lovely little tractor ready to be enjoyed. even all the lights work!
