1961 Massey Ferguson 35
Just arrived from a small holding in Milton Keynes is this charming little 35
The tractor has not done very much in the last few years having lived inside
The Perkins A3.152 engine starts up with 20 seconds of heat as you would expect and runs with the distinct 3 cylinder sound
The oil pressure is excellent, oil and water are in the correct places with no mixing or frost damage
The tractor is a dual clutch with both stages working as they should, the PTO and hydraulics also working as they should
The brakes are fine and the tractor steers well up and down the road selecting all gears including high and low
There is a new battery fitted, this is charged by the dynamo which is fully working
The tachometer isn't working sadly
At some point the tractor has had a fresh coat of red on the wings and bonnet, although this has mellowed in nicely now
The serial plate is on the dash but there is no v5, to my knowledge the tractor has never been registered for the road
The wear on the steering and pedals shows the tractor has had an easy well cared for life
The rear tyres are a stunning pair of Good Year Diamonds, the fronts are also good
The only fault I can find is the main gearstick is a little sloppy and turns, a common fault with these, otherwise a charming little tractor ready to be enjoyed or put back to work
